AI Advisory Services

Executive guidance on AI decisions from an advisor who sells no software, resells no platform and takes no vendor commissions.

What you are buying

Judgment on a specific decision, delivered in writing, fast enough to be useful. Not a tooling recommendation, not a pilot, not a transformation programme — the answer to what leadership should authorize, prohibit, disclose and document, and in what order.

Where advisory is used

  • A board that needs a position on AI before the next meeting
  • A vendor contract with AI terms nobody has assessed
  • Staff already using tools leadership has not authorized
  • A funder, insurer or client asking for your AI policy
  • An adoption plan that keeps stalling at the pilot stage

How it is delivered

  • Written positions and decision memos, not slide decks
  • Sessions with the people who hold the authority
  • Plain language a board can read without translation
  • Named owners and evidence for every decision

Why independence matters here

Most AI advice is attached to something being sold.

The platform vendor advises adoption. The systems integrator advises integration. The agency advises content. Each of them may be right, and none of them can tell you to wait, because waiting is not a billable outcome in their model.

Executive decisions about AI are rarely about which tool is best. They are about what an organization is willing to be accountable for: which information may leave the building, which judgments must stay human, what clients are told, and who signs off when something goes wrong. Those questions sit with leadership and cannot be delegated to a vendor, an IT team or a consultant who will be gone in a quarter.

SAGAZ is structured so the recommendation and the fee do not point in the same direction. The practice is led by an attorney and executive advisor who works with boards and leadership teams in regulated environments, writes in plain language, and leaves every engagement with the organization holding the decision and the record of it.

Three ways to engage

Start where the decision is.

Each one stands alone. None of them obliges the next.

01 · $1,500 · FIXED

Executive AI Governance Session

Ninety minutes with leadership or the board, and a written decision memo two business days later. The fastest route from “we should decide this” to a defensible written position.

Best when

AI is already in use, nothing has been authorized, and the first decisions cannot wait three weeks.

02 · FROM $7,500

AI Readiness & Governance Assessment

Three to four weeks of inventory, interviews and document review, ending in a ranked gap list, a decision owner matrix and a 90-day plan the organization can execute itself.

Best when

Leadership needs facts rather than impressions, or a third party will ask for documentation.

Ongoing Executive Advisory

A standing advisor for the decisions that keep arriving: vendor terms, new tools, disclosure questions, board reporting and the quarterly review of what was decided and whether it held.

Best when

The organization has moved past one-off decisions and needs continuity of judgment.

What advisory includes

  • Written decision memos after every working session
  • Review of vendor and client contract language on AI
  • Policy drafting and revision against real practice
  • Board and leadership briefings in plain language
  • A named owner and an evidence trail for each decision

What it is not

  • Not software, licences or platform resale
  • Not model building or systems integration
  • Not legal representation or an attorney-client relationship
  • Not a transformation programme that outlives its usefulness

Scope & investment

Fixed fees, quoted before work begins.

Sessions and assessments are fixed-fee. Ongoing advisory runs in three-month blocks at $3,500 to $7,500 per month depending on the size of the organization and the cadence agreed; smaller organizations with a single decision maker and no board layer start at $2,500 per month.

Questions leaders ask

What are AI advisory services?

Independent, executive-level guidance on the decisions leadership has to make about artificial intelligence: what to adopt, what to authorize, what to prohibit, what to disclose and what to document. Advisory work is not implementation and not software — it is judgment, delivered in writing, with the organization keeping the decision.

How do AI advisory services differ from an AI consultant who builds systems?

An implementation partner is paid to deploy technology; the recommendation and the revenue point the same way. SAGAZ sells no software, resells no platform and takes no vendor commissions, so “not yet” and “not this one” are available answers.

What does AI advisory cost?

Three entry points: a $1,500 Executive AI Governance Session for the first decisions, an AI Readiness & Governance Assessment from $7,500 for an evidence base, and ongoing advisory at $3,500 to $7,500 per month in three-month blocks. Smaller organizations with a single decision maker and no board layer start at $2,500 per month.

Who is this for?

Boards, executive directors, CEOs and leadership teams in organizations between roughly 10 and 500 people, usually in regulated, accredited or professionally licensed environments where an AI decision has consequences beyond efficiency.

Do you work outside Puerto Rico?

Yes. Advisory engagements run remotely across the United States and Puerto Rico, in English or Spanish, with on-site sessions by arrangement.

Bring the decision, not the technology question.

Tell me what has to be decided and by when. If advisory is the wrong answer, I will say so.
